Girls' Football Week Is Here!
Today marks the start of FA Girls' Football Week, a national campaign to get as many girls as possible playing the game.
With activities taking place across Hertfordshire from 23rd to 29th April, it's a great opportunity for girls to get active, meet new friends and have fun.
What's more The FA have teamed up with Disney to inject some extra excitement into the week, and as part of the range of football events there will also be some fun activities and games inspired by well-loved, strong Disney female characters from Zootropolis, Tangled and Moana.
And everyone who signs up will get access to three Disney-inspired activity plans so you can practise your skills at home. They'll also get a certificate for attending and a 20 per cent discount voucher to use in Disney stores.
Beth Dawes, Football Development Officer at Hertfordshire FA said:
"Thanks to the hard work of volunteers across the county there are lots of activities taking place this week aimed at inspiring girls to take up the game. We know that playing football is great way for girls to get active, make new friends and build their self-confidence".
"Most of all it's great fun, so it's well worth finding a session near you and giving it a try".

To launch the week, Disney and The FA brought to life the stories of three aspiring players from Coalville Town Football Club in a short film, showing how they have taken inspiration on the pitch from the bold and adventurous Disney characters.
