The Hertfordshire FA is opening up its 3 Lions girls programme for 2018.  The programme is a strand of the School-Club Link but directly for developing girl’s football, linking Hertfordshire FA’s affiliated clubs to their local schools, to create and build upon existing links, support and assist you with developing new teams. 

The funding available this year is £500 per club and the programme will target female only mini soccer teams (u7, u8, u9 and u10)

The aims of the 3 Lions FC Girls Programme is to: 

• Give players the opportunity to play in a fun, friendly and safe environment throughout the duration of the programme and then the opportunity to progress to playing regularly as part of a charter standard club.
• Provide clubs with an intake of new players to help create new teams at the younger age group and affiliate the team for the 2018/19 season. 

This year Hertfordshire FA are focusing on female only mini soccer teams.  The programme will commence on week beginning 16th April 2018 with taster sessions being delivered in the selected schools (clubs may start earlier if agreed). 

These sessions can take place during curriculum time, breakfast club , lunch time or after school then once these sessions have finished they will be invited to attend regular sessions at your club. 

There is funding to support the clubs delivering the programme – in particular coaching in schools and a service level agreement will need to be signed by both club and Hertfordshire FA agreeing to the terms of the programme. If this is not adhered to then funding will need to be returned. 

How to Apply

If your club is interested in being a part of the 2018 3 Lions FC Girl’s Programme please complete and return the enclosed reply form  to beth.dawes@hertfordshirefa.com by the closing date of Friday 23rd February.  

Once your reply form has been received the Hertfordshire FA will be in contact by Tuesday 27th February 2018 to notify if your club has been successful to be part of this year’s programme.  

Please note: all clubs taking part in the programme must be charter standard.
