Young Lionesses to Play France in Stevenage
Rare chance to cheer on the next generation of England stars in our own back yard as the Women's U23 come to Stevenage in February
England Women's under-23s are back in action for the first time in 2025, with two big home fixtures in the space of a week. Emma Coates’ side will play Germany in Walsall on Thursday 20 February, before facing France at the Lamex Stadium, home of Stevenage FC, on Tuesday 25 February.
Coates said: "These are two really exciting fixtures to kick-off the year against two strong European opponents. Whenever we play France, it’s always a competitive encounter, and we’re relishing the chance to face Germany for the first time.
"It’s always special to play in front of a home crowd and for the players to have the chance to engage with the fans. It’s great that we have two opportunities to do this in February and we hope to see two great turn outs. I'd encourage all Lionesses fans to get their tickets to see the next generation in action - you never know who you might see named in a senior squad down the line."
