We can help you create opportunities for players with a disability

We believe in flexible, inclusive and accessible playing opportunities for all and are committed to helping deliver a range of opportunities for players with a disability to access football at relevant levels across the county. We can't do this alone however, so as with all grassroots football we work to support volunteers who create clubs and leagues, coach teams and officiate matches so that everyone has the chance to enjoy the game.

Training to support clubs on their Journey to Inclusion

Is your club ready to open its doors and welcome more disabled people? Perhaps you already have a disability offer in place and are looking to expand? Or maybe you’re yet to offer disability football and are worried about how to do so?

The good news is there are resources to support you at every stage of your club’s journey to inclusion! From promoting your offer and welcoming new players on their very first visit, to embedding disability in your club culture, both on and off the pitch.

England Football have produced an online toolkit which is packed with useful information, or if you’d prefer more hands on learning, book onto one of the face-to-face workshops to join in and be part of providing more football opportunities for disabled people.

If you want to get involved in disability football but don't know where to start then please get in touch. We can offer help, support and guidance and possibly even funding that could support you in getting your project up and running.

Support from a local Disability Ambassador

The FA have Disability Ambassadors deployed across the country to support England Football Accredited clubs develop provision for disabled people.

This starts with the creation of bespoke disability game plans, which outline new club-based opportunities, which may include new playing provisions, coaching and/or volunteering roles. The FA Disability Ambassador can help drive engagement at every level of your club to maximise and sustain opportunities, and their support can also help build relationships with relevant local partners and key stakeholders to promote these.
