All Small Sided Football Leagues affiliated to the Hertfordshire FA must also meet certain requirements to ensure that the league is protecting the safety of all players participating.

Small Sided Football leagues will charge different amounts for a match fee. Some leagues will charge a registration fee as well which may come with extra benefits. On average leagues charge £0.90 per minute, e.g. 40 minute match would cost £36. Different leagues will offer different quality and Hertfordshire FA suggests teams search for the league that will offer the best value for money.
If a player gets sent off in Small Sided Football match for a "less serious" red card offence, the offending player will serve a match suspension in that league only dependent on the offence. The provider shall not fine the player. If a player gets sent off for a "serious" red card offence, the discipline will be the responsibility of the County FA. Any suspensions for "serious" red card offences apply to all levels of football.
The FA National Competition is The FA People's Cup. The FA People's Cup brings together small sided teams from the country to play local, regional, national rounds during the same weekends of The FA Cup.
The FA National Futsal League is the national small sided football league.
