Grassroots Football Awards
Celebrating Local Heroes
We are delighted to announce the local winners of the England Football Grassroots Football Awards for 2024
These Awards are our way to recognise and celebrate the fantastic people who put their heart and soul into the grassroots game in Hertfordshire – and say a huge thank you to those from across the game who inspire us all.
Grassroots is powered by people who make a positive difference, working hard to show the true power of football in connecting people, in building communities and enabling more players to enjoy playing our beautiful game.
The winners of our Grassroots Football Awards were selected from a public nominations process across a range of different categories earlier this year. We thank everyone for making nominations and every nominee for their outstanding efforts.
Our inspirational winners are all grassroots heroes and the list includes individuals and organisations working hard through to bring football to everyone in their communities, while create a positive playing environment for all to enjoy the game.

• Grounds Team of the Year – Graham O’Brien

“Our role at Hertfordshire FA is to support grassroots football and the many thousands of people who are involved in making the game happen across our county. We are always full of admiration for those who give up their time for others, working hard to improve standards and increase opportunities for everyone to play.
It’s always brilliant to hear the truly inspirational stories that come to light through the nominations process for these awards. Congratulations to our award winners and a huge thank you to the Grassroots Heroes throughout Hertfordshire whose amazing efforts make football for all – so many of you are worthy of recognition".
