Futsal Cup 2018: A step forward

Over the weekend our 2018 Futsal Cup took place at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, catch up on what happened throughout the day!

On Saturday 7th April, over 480 children travelled to Hertfordshire University's Sports Village to take part in the Hertfordshire FA Futsal Cup.

There were over 40 teams in search of Futsal glory, across 4 different age groups, U10, U12, U14 and U16. Each age group consisted of a Boys and a Girls group, in which teams would play each other once in a league format, with the group leaders securing the Cup.

Group Winners:

U10 Boys: Futsal Royston
U10 Girls: Hitchin Belles

U12 Boys: Pro Futsal London
U12 Girls: Garston Ladies

U14 Boys: Pro Futsal London
U14 Girls: Watford Ladies FC

U16 Boys: Ware FC
U16 Girls: Garston Ladies

The Hertfordshire FA staff oversaw six hours of Futsal on the day and it’s fair to say they were impressed with the level of skill on display. Most importantly, it was clear to see that all involved enjoyed what was a very special day for Futsal in the County:

All of our players and Managers loved the experience and it has fuelled even more passion for the game within the club.
